Fiber Savvy is committed to protecting your privacy. That's because we base our business on the trust you place in us. The information we collect is gathered to ensure secure ordering and to provide a more personalized shopping experience. How much information must you share? The amount of information we collect depends on you. We collect information needed for secure ordering and customizing your experience. See below to find out what information is required for each task.
Browse Online: IP address - We use IP addresses to measure our site traffic and to help provide a relevant shopping experience. Your IP address is not linked to your customer information. Referral site - If you come to our site via a link, the location of the referral is captured. This is used to help us know where our users come from. Browser type - This information is captured to help us optimize our site to match the latest technology used by our customers. Movements through our site - We keep track of pages you visit to help us provide a more personalized and relevant shopping experience.
Is your information used for any other purpose? We require only the personal information that is needed for safely processing your online order and for contacting you about your transactions. It is used exclusively for that purpose. If you become a Fiber Savvy customer, you may receive mailings based on your account information and your account information may be analyzed as part of our standard business practices. Will your information be given to any other party? Your personal information is not shared with any other party.
Do you purchase information about your customers from other companies? Yes, we occasionally purchase third party information about companies that are our customers. We do not purchase any personal customer information. The company information we purchase includes size of company, number of employees and annual sales. This is used for customizing the user experience online and for supplementing our internal sales information.
What about e-mail? When you purchase online from Fiber Savvy, we will contact you by e-mail to confirm your order and to update you on the status of your order.
Customer Satisfaction: Fiber Savvy is committed to providing all customers with a world-class experience. In order to measure how well we are doing and to better understand how we can continually improve our product offerings and our ability to meet your unique requirements, we may contact you by phone or e-mail and solicit your participation in research. Your participation is voluntary and you may request to remove yourself from future efforts of this kind.
NOTE: Your account manager may occasionally send you promotional or product information. In addition, Fiber Savvy may occasionally send you updates on important information about our company and services. If you do not wish to receive such e-mails, simply let your account manager know.
How do we protect your information? Fiber Savvy takes great measures to ensure your information remains secure. As the GeoTrust dynamic True Site Seal on our site indicates, the data you enter on our site is protected with strong 256-bit encryption and domain control validation. Other non-sensitive data, such as the browser you are using or the duration of your visit, is collected anonymously on our secure database for statistical purposes to help us assess how to better improve your user experience.

California Residents: Your California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) provides California consumers with certain rights with regard to their personal information. This Section explains those rights. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, a “California consumer” is a natural person who resides in California, and does not include persons to the extent they are (i) acting as an employee, owner, director, officer or contractor of a company, partnership, sole proprietorship, nonprofit or government agency that is doing business with Fiber Savvy (for example, our business contacts, vendors and service providers) or (ii) acting as a job applicant to, an employee of, owner of, director of, officer of Fiber Savvy. If you are a California consumer and would like to exercise your CCPA rights, you can contact us at sales@fibersavvy.com to submit a request.
1. Right to Know About and Access Your Personal InformationIf you are a California consumer, you may have the right to request that Fiber Savvy provide you with information regarding what personal information about you we have collected, used, or disclosed in the preceding twelve (12) months. Once we receive your request and verify your identity, we will disclose to you one or more of the following as requested:
- The categories of personal information we have collected about you in the preceding twelve (12) months.
- The categories of sources from which we collected your personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months.
- The business or commercial purposes for collecting your personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months.
- The categories of third parties with whom we shared your personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months.
- The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you in the preceding twelve (12) months.
- You may only make a consumer request to know about or access your personal information twice within a twelve (12)-month period.
If you are a California consumer, you may have the right to request that Fiber Savvy delete certain personal information that we have collected from you. However, this right to deletion does not apply to any of your personal information that is subject to an exception under the CCPA (as described below). Once we receive your request and verify your identity, we will delete your personal information in our records that is not subject to any of the CCPA exceptions.
CCPA Exceptions
We may deny your deletion request where your personal information is required for any of the following reasons, which we will identify in our response to you if we deny your request:
- Complete the transaction for which we collected the personal information, provide a good or service that you requested, take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform our contract with you.
- Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities.
- Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us.
- Comply with a legal obligation.
- Make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it.
If you are a California consumer, you have a right to not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights. Fiber Savvy will not discriminate against any California consumer who exercises any of the rights described above.
Specifically, except as permitted by the CCPA, we will not deny you goods or services; charge you different prices or rates, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties; provide you with a different level of service or quality of goods or services; or suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.
4. How to Submit a RequestIf you are a California consumer and would like to exercise any of the CCPA rights identified above, you may submit a request by either sending an email to sales@fibersavvy.com or by calling us at 951-801-5780 and providing the information requested under Section 6 below.
5. Submitting a Request Through Your Authorized AgentIf you are a California consumer, you may have the option to designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, so long as the authorized agent has your written permission to do so, and you have taken steps to verify your identity directly with us.
If you would like to designate an agent, your agent must register as such with the California Secretary of State and submit a copy of this registration along with your consumer request to us. We may need to contact you directly to verify the request.
6. How We Verify Your RequestWe cannot fulfill your request to provide you with or delete your personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. Making a verifiable consumer request does not require you to create an account with us.
Once you have provided the required information to Fiber Savvy, we will confirm your identity by conducting an electronic search of our internal systems to ensure the information provided by you in your request matches what we have in our systems.
To verify your identity, we will ask that you provide the following information when you submit your request:
- Your name
- Your home address and, if different, shipping address
- Your state of primary residence
- Your home phone number
- Your email address
- Means of purchase (direct sale or via distributor)
- Date of most recent transaction and description of items purchased
Depending on your type of request or the information requested by you, we may require additional information in order to verify your identity and fulfill your request. If we cannot successfully verify your identity, we will inform you of that fact.
We will respond to your request within forty-five (45) days. However, in certain circumstances, we may require additional time to process your request, as permitted by the CCPA or other applicable law. We will advise you within forty-five (45) days after receiving your request if such an extension is necessary and why it is needed. Any disclosures we provide will only cover the twelve (12)-month period preceding our receipt of your request. If we cannot fulfill your request, our response to you will also explain the reason why we cannot fulfill your request.
We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.
